The Unstoppable Momentum of Sean Fortune

The Drum & Bass scene isn't easy to break into, but for Sean Fortune, the last few weeks have been a total whirlwind. Between winning one of the biggest awards in the industry and playing some of the biggest stages in Southeast Asia, he is moving at a pace most people can’t keep up with.

The Goldie SCHOLARSHIP

The big news is that Sean just received the Goldie Scholarship to go study at Point Blank Music School, one of the best music schools in the world. Being picked out by Goldie himself is a massive deal, it’s a huge stamp of approval on his skills and his vision for the music. It’s a lot of pressure, but Sean didn't waste any time showing why he earned it. On January 16th 2026, he performed a B2B set with Kamiko at EDC Thailand playing on the Boombox stage. Then on January 24th 2026 a solo set at DNB Allstars Thailand , proving he can handle massive festival crowds.

The Silence at Bionic Jungle

One of the craziest moments of his career happened at bionicJUNGLE. Because it was a last-minute decision, things got messy behind the scenes. When Sean walked onto the stage with his headphones, two waters, and a cup of coffee, Goldie’s manager—who had no idea Sean was supposed to be there—firmly grabbed his arm. He asked Sean, "What are you doing on stage? Do you know a legend is playing?" Things eventually got smoothed out once things were explained properly behind the scenes.

IT DOESN't END!

The confusion didn't stop there. Once Sean finally got behind the decks, the production and lighting crew (who also weren't in the loop) had shut the stage down at the scheduled midnight. The sound did not come on when He pressed play. He had to stand there in total silence for 10 minutes while the entire crowd walked away, leaving the stage empty. He stayed put while his booker scrambled to call the higher-ups to get the green light. Eventually... it came! The sound systems roar to life and the production comes alive. Within 15 minutes, over 500 people came sprinting back to the stage to catch his set. It turned out to be one of the best sets at EDC Thailand. (words from the crowd)

From BANGKOK to London

After a heavy 2 weekends in Phuket performing at EDC Thailand and DnB Allstars, He described it as, "truly the time of his life. and its just the beginning." He has a month left in Thailand before his move to London, UK. He isn't slowing down now that he's back in Bangkok. He’s just done organizing Drum & Bass Vol. 8 which took place at AVVE Bangkok on Friday 6th February a sold out 150 capacity event! and a massive unannounced event for the end of February. (Hint, its a Day Rave)

THE DEPARTURE

On March 5th, Sean is heading to London to go to Point Blank Music School! He’s got a month before his university term starts on April 13th. so he needs to use this time wisely to Network and explore the UK scene. He's going from being a leader in the Bangkok scene to a newcomer in the world's DnB capital, and it’s going to be interesting to see how he makes his mark.
